Prof. Dr. Iris Monteiro is a Clinical Psychologist, Dentist, and University Lecturer with an extensive multidisciplinary background in healthcare and academia.
She began her career in Clinical Psychology in 2001, working in hospital settings while simultaneously developing a private practice. During this period, she participated in several pioneering healthcare programmes within the TAP Health Care Unit and contributed to the development of national healthcare legislation.

Driven by a family tradition in medicine, particularly inspired by her father, and motivated to broaden her expertise across different medical disciplines, she earned her Integrated Master’s Degree in Dentistry in 2009, in collaboration with the University of Lille II, France. In 2010, she completed her Doctorate at Maimonides University.

Committed to continuous professional development and clinical excellence, Prof. Dr. Iris Monteiro has pursued several postgraduate programmes in specialised fields of Dentistry, including Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Invisalign® Certification, Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Orofacial Pain, as well as Dentofacial Aesthetics and Facial Harmonisation.

By institutional invitation, she joined the teaching staff at Instituto Eduardo Prado in 2014, which allows for constant updating and the development and acquisition of extensive skills.

In 2018, she made a full and exclusive investment in Dentistry, combining the maturity and successful experience from the field of Clinical Psychology, with stable functions in private practice, clinical direction, and teaching.
